YOUTH PROGRAMS

Overview

United Synagogue Youth (USY), the youth movement of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism (USCJ), brings the joy of Judaism to life for teens, inspiring them to deepen their Jewish practice, become leaders, make a positive impact on the world, and develop lasting connections to their Jewish identities.

USY, for grades 9-12, and Kadima, a program of USY for preteens, grades 6-8, allow your teens to engage other Jewish youth with fun, meaningful experiences based on the ideology of Conservative Judaism.

USY helps keep teens (and their parents) involved long beyond their b’nai mitzvah years.

Age Groups

Chalutzim is open to kids in 1st through 5th grade.

Kadima is open to preteens who are in grades 6-8.

USY is open to teens in grades 9-12.

Programs & Events

The youth groups plan an array of activities every year including several service projects. Some of the past activities include: escape rooms, mini golf, paint twister, ice cream socials, bowling, and many more! Youth group members are encouraged to propose their ideas and help with the planning.
