In keeping with Rabbi Altshuler’s initiative to foster a relationship with our non-Jewish neighbors, this year’s Sipping in the Sukkah event has been changed to be an Interfaith Sukkot Luncheon co-sponsored by TBS Sisterhood, Men’s Club and SaBra Hadassah. We will be inviting the clergy, members of their churches and local dignitaries as well as members of area synagogues to join with us to celebrate Sukkot.
A light nosh in the sukkah will be followed by a delicious lunch with keynote speaker Nelle S. Miller, President & CEO of All Faiths Food Bank. All profits from the event will benefit the food banks. The cost for the day will be $18 minimum donation, with the opportunity to add additionally at the sponsor level ($36). Each attendee is asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be distributed to local families in need.
