Ambassador Brad Gordon retired from AIPAC in January 2020, after twenty-five years as a member of its senior staff. He was the Legislative Director from 1995 to 2005 when he became Director of the newly created Policy and Government Affairs Department which combined the lobbying and research departments. Previously, Ambassador Gordon served as the Staff Director of the International Operations Subcommittee of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and was Assistant Director of the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency for Nonproliferation Policy. [ Ambassador Gordon] He served as the US Ambassador to [ represented the United States at] the Fourth Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) held in Geneva in August and September 1990. Previously, Ambassador Gordon was the professional staff member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee responsible for the Middle East and South Asia and worked as a political analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency from 1979 to 1985 in the office of Near Eastern and South Asian Analysis.
