College Connection

The Youth Department cultivates an ongoing relationship with our members’ college age students and those in the military. We work hard to maintain contact with our young adults once they leave our community. The Youth Department collects the school and military addresses of our college-age young adults each year so that we can stay in touch throughout the year to help support their ties to Judaism. We hope that this will remind our kids of their heritage and their bond with our synagogue.

Directory

Towards the beginning of each year, the Youth Department compiles a directory of all collected addresses of Temple Beth Sholom college-age students. This directory is available for all college students and college-age military personnel, as well as outgoing high school students.

If you would like your college-age student to be added to our directory, please complete the college directory form and return it to the Temple Beth Sholom Youth Department. This information needs to be updated every year.

Packages

Mailings from the Temple Beth Sholom Youth Department are sent throughout the year and are sponsored by the Temple Beth Sholom Men’s Club. Parents and youth group volunteers put the packages together. Jewish holiday packages are sent to our hard working students and young, brave military men and women twice a year. Our packages are filled with carefully selected holiday and study treats.

The Temple Beth Sholom Men’s Club sponsors the College Connection program. However, to help defray the cost of the directory and packages, an $18 donation would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to be one of our sponsors or would like to help put these packages together, please contact the Temple Beth Sholom Youth Department at (941) 552-2783.
